More honors are pouring in for Elijah Sindelar, after a huge showing in Purdue’s win over Vanderbilt on Saturday.
Sindelar has been named the Rose Bowl Game’s B1G Player of the Week after throwing for 509 yards and five touchdowns on 34-of-52 pass attempts. He guided the Boilermakers to a 42-24 victory over the Commodores to bring Purdue’s record to 1-1 on the season.
With the 500-plus yard performance, Sindelar became just the third quarterback in Purdue history to throw for over 400 yards in back-to-back games. Drew Brees and Jim Everett were the other two.
