Purdue hasn’t had a fantastic 2018 campaign to this point, but the Boilermakers are turning it around.

Part of the reason why is because the team has talent. If you don’t have talent, there is only so much you can do.

Purdue’s got talent — and young talent at that. Freshman WR Rondale Moore has made outstanding catches and plays throughout the season so far. Statistically, he isn’t behind many pass-catchers — regardless of how old they are.

Through 5 games, Purdue is 2-3, but Moore has caught 41 passes for 457 yards and 4 TD. People of course have taken notice.

Yahoo Sports considers Moore one of the three best freshmen in all of college football. Pro Football Focus, who grades each player from every game, has Moore in the top 10, right behind No. 1 overall recruit Trevor Lawrence, who is the QB at No. 4 Clemson.

Moore’s been special and he’ll be able to show off his talents at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Illinois. The game can be watched on FS1.
