Purdue adds ATH from Ohio to 2021 recruiting class
Purdue crossed state boundaries to receive its most recent commitment in the 2021 class.
Three-star athlete Bryon Threats verbally committed to the Boilermakers on Friday, becoming the fifth player in the cycle to pledge. The Dublin, Ohio native received interest from Cincinnati, Boston College, Indiana, Iowa State, Kentucky, Michigan State and West Virginia.
“I’m blessed and beyond excited to say that I am 110% committed to Purdue University,” Threats wrote on Twitter.

Threats is a 5-foot-10, 190-pound athlete and is ranked as the No. 28 player out of the state of Ohio. He’s also listed as the No. 53 player to be labeled as an athlete in the 2021 recruiting cycle.
Purdue now has five players committed in the 2021 class and Threats is the second-highest ranked prospect in the cycle. The Boilermakers rank 34th nationally and 10th in the B1G with this year’s class currently.
