Tommerdahl will be the associated head coach, special teams coordinator and assistant offensive line coach for the Red Raiders in 2019. He previously worked on Wells’ staff at Utah State before heading to Purdue.
Purdue has now lost two assistant coaches this offseason, as Derrick Jackson also departed to become the defensive coordinator at Northern Illinois.
With Tommerdah’s departure, Purdue will be looking for its third special teams coordinator in three years under Jeff Brohm.
