Purdue finalized its 2021-22 nonconference schedule on Tuesday morning, and it includes several high-profile matchups.

The Boilermakers will face North Carolina, North Carolina State and Butler before the calendar flips to 2022. Purdue will also face either Tennessee or Villanova in the Basketball Hall of Fame Tip Off Classic.

The game against North Carolina State will serve as Purdue’s matchup in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. That game will be played on the road.

Home games on the schedule include Indiana State and Omaha.

Purdue is expected to be one of the top teams in the nation this season. ESPN’s Joe Lunardi currently has the Boilermakers projected as a No. 2 seed for the 2022 NCAA Tournament.

Virtually all of Purdue’s key contributors from last season are expected back in 2021-22. The program is also adding a pair of 4-star recruits in Trey Kaufman and Caleb Furst.

Purdue’s season officially begins on Nov. 9 against Bellarmine.
