Purdue basketball commit reportedly turns down offer from professional league
Purdue basketball commit Myles Colvin is sticking with the Boilermakers.
Colvin had an offer to play for Overtime Elite, which is a startup professional league that has already earned commitments from some of the top players in the class of 2023.
However, according to GoldandBlack.com, Colvin will pass on that opportunity.

Colvin does not yet have a rating on any major recruiting services, but his stock has risen this summer. The Indianapolis native also picked up offers from Indiana and Butler in July. The fact that Overtime Elite was interested is a good sign that people in the scouting community are high on him.
Listed at 6-foot-4, he has great size for the shooting guard position. Here’s a clip of him making plays on both ends of the court in a recent game:

Colvin is a 2023 prospect, so he should be evaluated by the major recruiting services in the coming months. It’s possible the pandemic also has delayed the process of him getting evaluated.
Purdue is expected to be one of the nation’s top teams in 2021. Led by guard Jaden Ivey, the Boilermakers should be a contender to make the Final Four.
