Purdue’s 2023 recruiting class has received a big bump.

On Thursday, 4-star point guard Dravyn Gibbs-Lawhorn revealed his commitment to Purdue. He’s the second player in the 2023 recruiting class to verbally pledge to the Boilermakers. It’s a huge addition for Matt Painter’s club.

Per 247Sports, Gibbs-Lawhorn ranks as the No. 30 overall prospect in the 2023 class. The Utah native is also ranked as the No. 8 point guard for the cycle.

So far, Gibbs-Lawhorn has received 2 offers. Purdue beat Indiana for the early pledge from the 4-star guard.

Gibbs-Lawhorn joins 4-star shooting guard Myles Colvin out of Indianapolis. Though it’s still extremely early, this puts Purdue in position to rake in one of the top recruiting classes for the 2023 cycle.
