Purdue had a nice weekend of basketball, following up a win over No. 18 North Carolina with a win vs. No. 5 Villanova on Sunday.

On Saturday, it was a double-double from Jaden Ivey and a trio of 20-point performances that powered the Boilermakers. On Sunday, it was a much more balanced attack.

Every starter scored in double figures against the Wildcats with center Zach Edey leading the way with 21 points on 9-for-12 shooting. Ivey was held to 10 points on 3-for-9 shooting, but he rounded out his performance with 7 rebounds and 7 assists and a block.

In a testament to their depth, freshman Caleb Furst scored 12 points with 4 rebounds on a perfect 5-for-5 shooting night. Trevion Williams came off the bench with 9 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, and a highlight dish for an easy dunk.

After capturing the Cheez-It Hall of Fame Tip-Off title, the Boilermakers celebrated accordingly with the trophy – and snacks. Check it out:

With a 5-0 start and back-to-back wins over ranked opponents, Purdue is making an early case as one of the most complete teams in the country. The Boilermakers will definitely be a team to watch when conference play starts later in the season.
