Purdue dips into SEC country for commitment from 4-star QB out of Baton Rouge
Purdue head coach Jeff Brohm has secured a quarterback commitment from the 2023 class with Baton Rouge, Louisiana native Rickie Collins making his plans official on Friday.
Through his Twitter account, Collins announced his intentions to play in West Lafayette. The Woodlawn High School standout had offers from TCU, Memphis, Arkansas, Louisiana Tech, Louisville, and LSU among others.

Collins is a 4-star prospect and is the No. 15 quarterback in the nation and the No. 14 player in Louisiana’s Class of 2023 per the industry-generated composite rankings. He is also a top-300 player, coming in at No. 274 nationally.
The 6-foot-4, 185-pound QB is a three-sport athlete at Woodlawn, having earned All-District honors in both basketball and football. He was also a second-team All-District pick in baseball.
