Oakland gave No. 25 Michigan all they could handle Sunday night.
They apparently didn’t have much left for Purdue on Tuesday afternoon.
The Boilermakers blasted the Golden Grizzlies, 93-50 in a blowout that featured 17 three-pointers from the Purdue sharpshooters.
Brandon Newman led the way for the Purdue offense, converting 7-of-11 from the field, 3-for-3 from the line and 4-of-7 from beyond the arc to lead all scorers with 21 points. Sasha Stefanovic posted 20 points, on 6-of-9 from the field and 6-for-9 from 3-point land. He also made two free throws in as many attempts.
Trevion Williams led the Boilermakers off the glass, pulling down 14 rebounds. He added eight points.
Oakland was led by Jalen Moore with 14 points, converting 3-of-9 from the field with seven free throws. The Grizzlies made just 3-of-21 from beyond the arc.
Oakland will travel to Oklahoma State on Saturday, Dec. 5, while Purdue will host Valparaiso on Friday, Dec. 4 at 6:00PM.
