Can it happen again?

Purdue is entering Week 11 of the college football season with the hope it can do the unthinkable for a third time this season — take down a Top 5 opponent. The Boilermakers have already pummeled Iowa and Michigan State and will head into Columbus to take on No. 4 Ohio State this weekend.

After Purdue’s win over Michigan State and clinging to a 6-3 record, Jeff Brohm’s team cracked the College Football Playoff Top 25 for the first time ever. The Boilers will enter this weekend’s matchup ranked No. 19.

On Friday, Purdue released a hype video for the Saturday showdown in Columbus. It will have fans fired up for the contest:

Purdue and Ohio State have played 57 times will Ohio State leading the all-time series 39-15-2. However, the Boilermakers won the last meeting — a 49-20 decision in West Lafayette in 2018. That outcome ended the Buckeyes’ hopes of the national title.

It’s also been quite some time since the Boilers have won a game in Columbus, with the last victory coming in 1988.
