Jones spent last season at East Coast Prep in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. He was a member of the 2022 high school recruiting cycle.
He is listed at 6-foot, 160 pounds. He’s originally from Deerfield, Illinois.
His older brother, Charlie, was a key player for Purdue last season. After transferring in from Iowa, Jones led the Boilermakers in receiving in 2022. He caught 110 passes for 1,361 yards and 12 touchdowns.
With Charlie Jones moving on to the NFL, Purdue will be looking for new contributors at the receiver position in 2023. Purdue returns a veteran WR room that includes experienced players like TJ Sheffield, Mershawn Rice and Broc Thompson. So far this offseason, Luke Jones is Purdue’s lone receiver transfer addition.
Purdue’s spring game will be held on April 22.
