Purdue is having a rollercoaster of a start to the day in the recruiting game.

Just minutes after losing a commitment from 4-star defensive lineman Kendrick Gilbert to Kentucky, the Boilermakers earned a commitment from former Stanford cornerback and UCF pledge Salim Turner-Muhammad. He originally committed to UCF after entering the transfer portal on Dec. 3.

He made the announcement via his personal Twitter page Wednesday.

Turner-Muhammad played 3 seasons at Stanford, totaling 34 tackles, 1 forced fumble and 2 pass deflections across his time with the Cardinal. His best year was his freshman year, totaling 17 tackles, 1 forced fumble and a pass deflection.

He becomes Purdue’s 5th transfer to enter the program this offseason.
