Purdue earns commitment from highly-touted WR out of Florida

Purdue made a key addition to its 2024 recruiting class late Tuesday night.

The Boilermakers landed a commitment from 3-star wideout Shamar Rigby.

Rigby chose Purdue over offers from programs such as Pittsburgh, Kentucky, Iowa State and Cincinnati, amongst others. He took his official visit to Purdue this past weekend before committing.

He’s the No. 122 receiver in the country for this cycle, according to 247Sports. Rigby does not yet have a 247Sports Composite rating.

Rigby attends Lakewood High School in Saint Petersburg, Florida. He’s listed at 6-foot-4, 170 pounds.

He’s the 10th player and 3rd receiver to join Purdue’s 2024 recruiting class. The Boilermakers also have commitments from 4-star receiver Luke Williams and 3-star receiver Jesse Watson.

Purdue’s class ranks No. 40 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
