Purdue fans gather at airport to welcome back Boilermakers after big win
Purdue engineered one of the biggest upsets of the season (so far) on Saturday.
The Boilermakers hit the road for Week 7, traveling to the tough confines of Kinnick Stadium to face No. 2 Iowa. However, this time around, Purdue switched the script on the Hawkeyes, proving that visiting teams can do the unthinkable in Iowa City.
David Bell was instrumental in the win, as was a Purdue defense that stood tall on the road. The Boilermakers picked off Spencer Petras 4 times and completely shut down the Hawkeyes in the second half for the big win.
After the win, Purdue had to make the flight home to West Lafayette. Fortunately, the Boilermaker faithful made the trip out to welcome home the team.
