The Hawkeyes are just the latest victims of the Boilermakers who seem to get up just a little bit for ranked teams. This is their 9th victory over a ranked team as an unranked team in their program’s history.
The last, as many recall, was against Ohio State in 2018, where the Boilermakers stomped the Buckeyes 49-20, but that was at home.
What’s the most impressive thing about this victory, was Purdue won this game at Iowa. Some fan bases when their team pulls the upset storm the field, Purdue fans Saturday night stormed the airport.
Purdue players and head coach Jeff Brohm appreciated the love.
