The Journal & Courier reported late on Wednesday night that two Purdue football players were arrested for theft.

Freshmen Evyn Cooper and David Rose were reportedly arrested early Wednesday morning for stealing bicycles.

Purdue coach Darrell Hazell said he is aware of the pending charges and will allow the legal process to play out before handing out punishment.

The two freshman cornerbacks were both rated three-star recruits out of high school. Rose got into the game against Indiana State and had a pass breakup while Cooper has yet to see the field.

The Boilermakers will look to build off a win against Indiana State when Virginia Tech comes to West Lafayette on Saturday.
