Purdue freshman David Bell sets up TD with ridiculous acrobatic catch

It hasn’t been a great start for Purdue against Penn State, but a couple of freshmen are still playing hard against the Nittany Lions.
One freshman that is really turning heads with his early play is wide receiver David Bell. After the injury to star receiver Rondale Moore, the door is open for Bell to make some plays with the Boilermaker offense.
He came up with one highlight on this catch. Bell created just a little space between him and his defender when quarterback Jack Plummer tried to find him downfield.

The throw was a little off target, but it did not matter. Bell adjusted to it in midair and came down with a nice acrobatic catch that went for 43 yards.

That catch was key as it set up a 15-yard touchdown from Plummer to Amad Anderson Jr. Unfortunately, the Boilermakers are still trailing 28-7 at halftime.
