A Purdue wide receiver has decided to enter his name in the NCAA transfer portal.

Tom Dienhart of Gold and Black Illustrated reported on Tuesday that redshirt freshman Grant Summers has decided to explore opportunities outside of West Lafayette. He becomes the sixth Boilermaker this offseason to enter the portal in an effort to look at other options.

Summers was a walk-on at Purdue, joining the team for the 2019 season. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound Georgia native has not played during his two seasons with the program.

In 2019, Summers used the 2019 season as a redshirt year. With the NCAA granting a blanket waiver to all fall student-athletes for the 2020 season, the receiver will still have four years of eligibility at his next destination.

Purdue closed out the 2020 season with a 2-4 record, losing its final four games of the year after starting 2-0 with wins over Iowa and Illinois.
