Class of 2024 center Raleigh Burgess, a Class of 2024 center out of Cincinnati, Ohio, committed to play for Purdue Monday afternoon. The 6-11 , 235-pounder chose the Boilermakers over the likes of Iowa, Virginia, Ohio State, Indiana and more.

Burgess is the 3rd Purdue commitment of the cycle, joining 4-star SF Kanon Catchings and 3-star SG Jack Benter. Both are considered to be top-200 players. Burgress had the following message for Boiler fans, via On3Sports.

“I’m excited to get to be a Boiler and I’m ready to get to work! Boiler up!”

Burgress can play both the 4/5, and given Purdue’s history at giants roaming in the paint such as Matt Haarms and of course Zach Edey, it’ll be interesting to see how Purdue proceeds with his obvious talent.

The nearly 7-footer is considered to be the No. 134 prospect in the nation according to 247Sports. He’s also considered to be the No. 23 center and the No. 5 player out of the state of Ohio.
