Purdue has made a big pickup for its 2024 recruiting class.

Tayvion Galloway, a sought-after tight end out of Ohio, has verbally pledged to play for the Boilermakers. Galloway shared the big news Monday on social media.

A standout at Pickerington (Ohio) Central, Galloway measures 6-5 and 230 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Galloway is rated 3-stars, the No. 13 recruit in the state of Ohio, No. 22 tight end and No. 357 prospect overall nationally.

Galloway has picked up scholarship offers from 33 schools during his recruitment, including Auburn, Florida, Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota and Rutgers. On July 23, 2022, Galloway committed to play for LSU. On June 11, he backed off his pledge to play for Brian Kelly’s Tigers.

Ryan Walters’ Purdue staff was able to get Galloway to West Lafayette for a campus visit over the summer. He offered Boilermakers fans a preview of how he’ll look sporting gold and black.

With Galloway on board, Purdue now has 24 commitments in its 2024 recruiting class, which ranks No. 28 nationally on the Composite. Galloway’s highlights can be viewed below, via Hudl:
