Thursday was supposed to be the start of the 2019 Big Ten Media Days.

And in a sense, it was. But for Purdue, Big Ten Media Days starts on Friday. That’s when the Boilermakers will be featured, along with six other teams.

Thursday — like many of the days over this offseason — was about recruiting for Purdue. The Boilermakers received a commitment from Class of 2020 DL Greg Hudgins:

Hudgins is ranked by 247Sports as a 3-star prospect and is the third-highest rated recruit for Purdue’s 2020 class. Hudgins is ranked as the No. 15 player at his position and according to some recruiting websites, he is seen as a 4-star prospect.

Purdue’s 2020 class now consists of 14 members and ranks No. 32 nationally while being No. 7 in the Big Ten. Hudgins, from Washington D.C., is now the highest-rated recruit for Purdue on the defensive side of the ball — trailing only Tirek Murphy, a 4-star RB and Michael Alaimo, a 4-star pro-style QB.
