Jeff Brohm is quickly assembling one of the best young receiver groups in the B1G.

During Saturday’s All-American Bowl, 4-star wide receiver and Indiana native David Bell gave his commitment to Purdue in front of a national audience, marking the second straight year the Boilermakers have landed a talented receiver at the event. Last year, Rondale Moore committed to Purdue at the game.

Bell initially picked up the Ohio State hat in front of him, but then grabbed the Purdue cap.

Bell was the Gatorade Indiana Football Player of the Year. He chose Purdue over Ohio State, Penn State, Iowa and Indiana.

Bell is listed as the No. 17 wide receiver in the 2019 recruiting class and is the second-best player out of Indiana. Overall, the receiver is ranked as the No. 101 player, according to 247Sports.

Prior to his commitment, Purdue owned the 25th ranked recruiting class and was No. 5 in the B1G.
