Purdue has landed a big-time recruit Monday evening from four-star guard Jameel Brown.

He announced his commitment via his Instagram:

The Boilermakers beat out schools such as Xavier, UPenn, and Marquette as seen here.

Per 247Sports, Brown is considered the 131st ranked player nationally for the 2022 recruiting class. He’s also ranked as the 22nd ranked combo guard in the country and the third-ranked player in the state of Pennsylvania.

Brown’s composite ranking on the site is 0.9386 so he’s projected to be a big-time playmaker for Purdue when he gets to the school.

Brown becomes the second player to commit to Purdue for 2022, joining Fletcher Loyer out of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Loyer is the younger brother of Michigan State point guard, Foster Loyer, and is a three-star shooting guard for the class.
