The Purdue Boilermakers remain hot on the recruiting trail.

Three-star RB Demetrius Mauney (Forest City, N.C.) committed to Purdue over offers from Colorado State and Temple, among others. The 5-foot-11, 181-pound back is listed as an athlete, per the recruiting agencies, and is ranked as the nation’s No. 76 overall athlete and the state’s No. 39 overall prospect, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

“First off I would like to thank God for blessing me with this tremendous talent to play the game of football. Also, I would like to thank by great grandparents for taking me in as their son, shaping and raising me into the young man that I am today,” he wrote on Twitter. “But with that been (sic) said I’m 110 percent committed to Purdue University. Boiler Up.”

Following Mauney’s verbal pledge, Purdue now has 11 commitments for the class of 2019. The Boilermakers have landed eight commitments this month.
