The College Football Playoff’s final rankings were revealed Sunday.

Ohio State, at 12-1 and winners of the Big Ten, were left out of the Top 4 and finish the season ranked No. 6. The Buckeyes still have the Rose Bowl to play in, but the ultimate goal of winning a national title are impossible at this point.

Why?

Well, Ohio State lost to Purdue by 29 points in the middle of the season. There’s no other blemish on the Buckeyes’ resume.

Once the rankings were revealed and the Buckeyes had to be feeling a bit down on themselves, Purdue LB Markus Bailey added a little fuel to the fire:

Bailey just wanted to rub it in a bit. And if there’s any team that can trash talk the Buckeyes at this point, it’s Purdue.
