Purdue could now be without as many as 5 players for its matchup with Tennessee in the Music City Bowl on Thursday.

Wide receiver Milton Wright and CB Dedrick Mackey are not with the team for unspecified reasons, and OT Greg Long is doubtful as well according to Tom Dienhart of GoldandBlack.com.

The Boilermakers are already without two of its key players on either side of the ball. DE George Karlaftis and WR David Bell both decided to opt-out of the game as they are declaring for the 2022 NFL Draft.

Losing those 3 players would be a significant blow for Jeff Brohm’s team, especially with bell and Karlaftis already out.

Wright has 737 yards receiving with 7 touchdowns on the year. Mackey has 29 solo tackles, 1 forced fumble, and 3 interceptions this season. Long transferred to the Boilermakers from UTEP following the 2020 season.

It’ll be interesting to see how the Boilermakers fare with all of these players out.

Purdue (8-4) and Tennessee (7-5) play Thursday at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee.
