Purdue is promoting from within it fill its vacancy for a football recruiting director.

Sunday afternoon, Purdue announced that Nate Dennison has been hired to be the next director of football recruiting with the program. He had served as the assistant director of recruiting since August 2018.

Dennison came to Purdue after spending time at Western Kentucky on Jeff Brohm’s staff. He will replace Eron Hodges, who was the previous director of recruiting for the Boilermakers.

Purdue’s 2021 recruiting class was subpar compared to Brohm’s previous classes in his time with the program. The Boilermakers had 15 commitments with just one 4-star pledge, finishing last in the B1G and 74th nationally.

The Boilermakers finished the recruiting cycle in the top half of the B1G and inside the Top 32 nationally in 2019 and 2020.

Last year, Purdue ended the season with a 2-4 record. Brohm will be entering his fifth season as the head coach of the Boilers in 2021.
