Purdue has pulled off two of the college football season’s biggest upsets. Purdue knocked off then-No. 2 Iowa 24-7 on Oct. 16 and then proved their legitimacy with last weekend’s 40-29 victory vs. then-No. 3 Michigan State.

For their success at toppling highly ranked opponents, Purdue has made program history heading into a massive showdown at Ohio State on Nov. 13. The Boilermakers check in at No. 19 in the newest edition of the College Football Playoff rankings. This is the first time since the inception of the rankings that Purdue made the cut.

With Ohio State ranked at No. 4, this is another chance for the Boilermakers to continue to strengthen their resume to the committee. Purdue is 6-3 overall and first place in the B1G West. Purdue’s last loss was a 30-13 defeat vs. Wisconsin on Oct. 23.

Ohio State defeated Nebraska 26-17 last week. The Buckeyes are 8-1 overall and first place in the B1G East.

Ohio State leads the all-time series 39-15-2 vs. Purdue. The Boilermakers won the last meeting 49-20 in 2018.

Purdue-Ohio State is slated for a 3:30 p.m. (EST) kickoff and will be televised on ABC.
