Purdue continues to fill its new coaching staff under Ryan Walters. Seth Doege, an offensive analyst from Ole Miss and former Texas Tech QB, has been hired as the team’s tight ends coach.

Doege previously worked on Lane Kiffin’s staff as an offensive analyst along with stints at USC under Clay Helton and Bowling Green before that.

His connection to Purdue comes from offensive coordinator Graham Harrell, who worked with Doege at USC and were both quarterbacks under Mike Leach at Texas Tech. Doege’s first season at Texas Tech was during his redshirt-freshman year in 2008, where Harrell took home the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award in his final season during a historic campaign for the Red Raiders.

Doege took the starting job in 2011 and 2012, and racked up 8,636 yards and 69 touchdowns. He went undrafted in 2013 but had brief stints on practice squads and in the CFL.

Doege is the seventh hire under Walters since he took over the reigns to the program.
