Purdue and Ohio State were scheduled to play a 3-game baseball series in West Lafayette over Friday-Sunday. Unfortunately, Mother Nature did not cooperate.

Big Ten Conference rules dictate that the RealFeel temperature must be at least 28 degrees to be able to start a game. The forecast did not have temperatures reaching that mark for a Sunday doubleheader.

The Boilermakers and Buckeyes were able to get in one game. Purdue won Friday night’s contest, its Big Ten opener, 7-5. The Boilermakers are ranked No. 17 and have a record of 18-1 overall. Saturday’s game was called off and rescheduled to be a doubleheader Sunday.
