Purdue offensive lineman Mark Stickford is calling it a career.

Mike Carmin of the Journal & Courier reported on Monday that Stickford suffered an injury during spring practice that required surgery. Even after the surgery, Stickford would not be able to play, per the report.

Stickford was entering his redshirt senior campaign with the Boilermakers. He played in 10 games during the 2019 season and made 8 starts that year. He did not appear in any contests for Purdue during the 2020 campaign.

Stickford was a three-time Academic All-B1G while suiting up for the Boilermakers.

Purdue is coming off a 2-4 season in 2020, a second-straight losing campaign in West Lafayette. Stickford’s departure will hurt the depth along the offensive line a

Head coach Jeff Brohm will be entering his fifth season with the program.
