Following Purdue’s win over Tennessee in the Music City Bowl, offensive lineman Tyler Witt has declared for the 2022 NFL Draft.

He started his football career at Western Kentucky before transferring to the Boilermakers as a graduate transfer in December of 2020.

He made the C-USA All-freshman, All-American, and All-Second team from 2017 to 2019 for the Hilltoppers. He was also on the 2019 Wuerffel Trophy Watch List. He announced the news from his Twitter account on Friday night.

Here’s what he had to say about his choice:

“It’s been an honor just to have played B1G football alongside so many great players, who are now some of my closest friends,” said Witt. “As much as I wish for another season as a Boilermaker. I am excited to start the next chapter of my life and chase my goal of playing at the next level. I am truly forever grateful and forever true.”

Witt and the Boilermakers ended the 2021 season with a 9-4 record.
