Purdue picks up 4-star commitment from prospect out of Illinois
Purdue has landed a big pickup for its 2024 recruiting class. Blue-chip Naperville (Illinois) North standout Luke Williams has chosen to play for Ryan Walters’ program.
Williams announced his commitment to the Boilermakers on his Twitter account Monday afternoon.

Williams calls himself a 4-star ATH, a multi-position designation, on his Twitter account. On the 247Sports composite rankings, Williams is rated 4-stars, the No. 10 Illinois product, No. 61 wide receiver and No. 429 prospect overall nationally in the Class of 2024.
At Purdue, however, Williams’ future may not be on offense. Williams lead recruiters to the Boilermakers were secondary coach Grant O’Brien and defensive coordinator Kevin Kane.
Williams visited Purdue and Illinois the last 2 weekends. He is pledge No. 9 in Purdue’s 2024 recruiting class.
