Purdue football revealed the updated capacity for Ross-Ade Stadium Tuesday morning for its 100th season of college football.

The stadium has been renovated over the offseason and includes a south end zone addition with new student and band seating, a new payer entrance and new premium seating opportunities, among other additions.

The capacity for Ross-Ade was kept in the dark until Tuesday, when Purdue football revealed that its new capacity for Ross-Ade stadium will be 61,441, up from 57,282 last season. The stadium now sits at a capacity of over 60,000 for the first time since the south end zone was removed in the mid-2010s.

This updated capacity also ups Purdue’s status from having the 9th largest stadium in the B1G to the 8th, surpassing Illinois’ Memorial Stadium.

Purdue kicks off its 2023 season in Ross-Ade on Saturday against Fresno State at Noon. The game will be aired on the Big Ten Network.
