Purdue reveals when it will resume play following weather delay vs. Virginia Tech
Purdue and Virginia Tech’s Week 2 matchup in Blacksburg was put into a weather delay with over 9 minutes remaining in the first quarter.
And that’s after kickoff for the game was delayed just 15 minutes before kickoff.
Severe weather is still in the Blacksburg, Virginia area. Because of this, the Boilermakers announced a few minutes ago that the game will resume in just under 2 hours at 6:15 ET.

The Boilermakers started the game well, driving the field for a Devin Mockobee rushing touchdown. The Boilers lead 7-0 and will retain possession when play resumes and will be around midfield threatening to score again.
Hudson Card has looked great against a rough Virginia Tech secondary. The Texas transfer is 8/11 for 89 yards, setting up the aforementioned rushing touchdown from Mockobee.
Purdue is looking to forget entirely about Week 1’s loss to Fresno State, and they’re off to a good start. Now, if only the weather would cooperate.
