Purdue has added another Power Five opponent to its future schedules.

On Wednesday afternoon, Purdue announced that it has scheduled a home-and-home series with Syracuse, which will be played in 2022 and 2023. This adds another Power Five opponent to the Boilermakers’ future schedules.

Syracuse will host Purdue at the Carrier dome on Sept. 17, 2022 and the two teams will meet at Ross-Ade Stadium on Sept. 16 the following year.

Purdue currently only has one other non-conference game on the schedule for those years. In 2022, the Boilermakers will host FCS foe Indiana State. In 2023, they will travel to Blacksburg to take on Virginia Tech.

The addition of Syracuse marks the fifth ACC opponent Purdue has scheduled since 2018. The Boilermakers will play Boston College on Sept. 22 this year.
