Get ready Purdue.

The Boilermakers’ game against Penn State will be a blackout at Ross-Ade Stadium. The season opener and B1G crossover game is getting the special treatment, the Boilermakers announced on Monday.

It should be a wild scene when the Nittany Lions come to town on a Thursday night. The Boilermakers are looking to start off their new season with a bang after going 9-4 (6-3 B1G) last season. Moreover, Purdue was 4-2 at Ross-Ade.

Penn State, which is used to raucous crowds, should be in for a tough opening game. The Nittany Lions are looking to start off on a high note after finishing 7-6 (4-5 B1G) last season. In addition, Penn State went 2-3 on the road.

With two teams coming off such contrasting performances in 2021, it should be a great start to the season and conference play for both sides. It will be a great way to start the Week 1 action.

It should be a good one in West Lafayette.  Boiler Up!
