Gold is the color of victory. That’s what Purdue is looking for Saturday.

Saturday’s matchup between Purdue and Nebraska is expected to have B1G West ramifications attached to it. Ross-Ade Stadium officially announced that Saturday’s game will be a sellout showing, and the Boilermakers are bringing out the gold uniforms to celebrate.

Purdue picked up the 28-23 win over the Cornhuskers last fall in Lincoln. The matchup marked 1 of 8 games Nebraska lost by 7 points or fewer.

Currently, both the Huskers and Boilermakers have a chance to strengthen their status for a shot at the B1G West title. Purdue is currently 4-2, but could be riding high now that quarterback Aidan O’Connell is back at 100%.

Meanwhile, the Huskers have gone 2-1 under interim coach Mickey Joseph, picking up conference wins over Indiana and Rutgers.

The 2 programs nearly mirror each other in offensive production. Purdue is currently averaging 419.7 yards and 32.5 points per game. Meanwhile, Nebraska is currently averaging 415.5 yards and 28.5 points per game.

Kickoff Saturday is set for 7:30 p.m. E.T. The Boilermakers are a 16.5-point favorite, according to FanDuel.
