Purdue star Jaden Ivey doesn’t expect to miss any additional time with his current injury. After sitting out of Sunday’s game against Northwestern, the Boilermakers’ leading scorer plans to return Thursday.

Ivey missed Sunday’s game due to a hip flexor. Purdue didn’t miss a beat without its star on the floor, posting an 80-60 victory over Northwestern inside Mackey Arena.

Wednesday, Ivey was asked about his status for Thursday’s game against Iowa at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. He intends to be back on the floor.

Ivey also played in Purdue’s loss to Indiana at Assembly Hall a week ago. He scored a game-high 21 points and had a spectacular second half, but it wasn’t enough to lift the Boilers to a road victory.

This season, Ivey is averaging 16.7 points, 5 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game while shooting 48.5% from the floor. The Boilers will need his explosiveness on the floor to counter Iowa’s Keegan Murray, who is also having an outstanding season for the Hawkeyes.

Tip-off from Iowa City is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET and the game will air on FS1.
