Jeff Brohm is taking a page out of Jim Harbaugh’s book.

There’s a pretty interesting quarterback battle going on in West Lafayette, as David Blough and Elijah Sindelar battle for the starting job. Both players started in games for the Boilermakers, and both are recovering from injury.

Brohm claimed that he would name a starter a week before Purdue’s season opener against Northwestern, but he’s keeping that information internal.

During Brohm’s weekly radio show, the Boilermakers head coach said that, while he’ll make a decision internally, everyone else will have to wait until game day.

Blough threw for 1,103 yards and nine touchdowns last season while completing 65 percent of his passes. Sindelar had 2,099 yards through the air with 18 touchdowns.

Purdue opens the 2018 season against Northwestern on Thursday, Aug. 30.
