Purdue throws shade at Notre Dame on social media over Big Bass Drum
Purdue isn’t happy about the big bass drum not being allowed to come to South Bend on Saturday and they made sure to let Notre Dame know.
The school made a joke on their official Twitter account by saying, “Make sure to FIT the @purduebands Big Bass Drum into your ride by listening to the newest episode of #ThisIsPurdue.”

Earlier this week, it was announced that the Fighting Irish weren’t allowing the Boilermakers to bring the drum due to it being too big to fit through the tunnel. They also won’t allow the Boilermakers to use the main tunnel for it so the drum will be missing its first game since 1979.
Both schools are off to 2-0 starts this season with the Boilermakers beating Oregon State and UConn, while the Fighting Irish staved off both Florida State & Toledo.
Kickoff for Saturday’s game will be at 2:30 p.m. ET.
