Three Boilermakers finished the day in double-figures as Purdue posted a 70-55 upset win over No. 25 Mackey Arena on Saturday afternoon. It was the Boilers’ fourth straight win in the rivalry game.

Carsen Edwards led the way for Purdue, totaling 20 points to lead all scorers in the contest. He also added seven assists and four rebounds in the victory. Nojel Eastern posted a double-double, scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds for the Boilermakers.

Matt Haarms added 12 points.

Justin Smith led the charge for Indiana, scoring 15 points while converting on 7-of-8 field goal attempts. Juwan Morgan added 14 points in the loss.

With the win, Purdue improved to 12-6 on the season and 5-2 in the B1G. The Hoosiers suffered their fourth straight loss and dropped to 12-6 and 3-4 in conference play.

Purdue jumped out to an early 11-2 lead, setting the tone in the first half. Indiana was able to take a three-point lead at 24-21 with over five minutes left in the first half, but that lead quickly dwindled. The Boilermakers regained the lead a minute later at 27-24 and Indiana never regained the advantage.

The Boilers started the second half on an 18-6 run, taking a 51-34 lead. The game was never within single digits after that point.

Purdue has now won three straight games and will travel to Ohio State on Wednesday. Indiana will try to snap its four-game skid on the road against Northwestern on Tuesday.
