Purdue without backup guard for Saturday's game vs. Indiana
Purdue reserve guard Ethan Morton will not be uniform for the team’s season finale against Indiana on Saturday. The program announced he will be attending his grandfather’s funeral in Pennsylvania.
“Ethan Morton will not be in uniform today as he will be attending his grandfather’s funeral in Pennsylvania,” Purdue said in a statement. “We send our deepest sympathies to the entire Morton family.”

Morton has come in for Purdue off the bench during his freshman season, averaging 7 minutes per contest in his first year in West Lafayette. He played a season-high 25 minutes in Purdue’s November loss to Clemson. Moreton scored a season-high 5 points in a 68-61 win over Valparaiso.
In Purdue’s first meeting against Indiana at Assembly Hall in January, Morton scored 3 points and grabbed 2 rebounds in 7 minutes of action. The Boilers defeated the Hoosiers 81-69.
