David Bell was one of the top receivers in college football during his three seasons at Purdue. Now, the former Boilermaker is heading to the NFL and hoping to emerge as a premier pass-catcher for the Cleveland Browns.

The best part of the NFL Draft every year is seeing the reactions when players see their players turn into reality. There’s no question that Bell had one of the top reactions from Friday night.

Bell was selected No. 99 overall by the Browns, landing in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He was second Purdue player taken in this year’s event, along with defensive end George Karlaftis.

Purdue captured the moment Bell received the phone call and learned he was heading to the Browns:

That’s what it’s all about.

Bell closed out his career at Purdue in impressive fashion in 2021. In 11 games, the junior receiver hauled in 93 receptions for 1,286 yards and 6 touchdowns, helping lead the Boilermakers to a 9-4 campaign.

It should be a lot of fun to see what Bell can do in Cleveland.
