Purdue standout wide receiver David Bell already was on fans’ radars after a three-touchdown performance in Week 1.

Though Bell has yet to match that number in the Boilermakers’ second game of the season, he did hit an impressive milestone early on as Purdue takes on Illinois in Champagne.

In just his 14th career game, Bell caught his 100th career pass.

Seems fitting that a great catch by Bell would be a historic one. While many people have talked about Purdue’s wideouts by starting with Rondale Moore, it might be time to change that conversation.

Bell is a legitimate big-time receiver in a league that certainly has its fair share of them. If Bell and Moore can ever reunite on the field again, opposing secondaries have their hands full.
