Sheffield hasn’t put up a lot of big numbers while at Purdue for the last 2 seasons. His best season came in 2019 when he finished with 2 receptions for 12 yards. For his career, he has just 4 catches for 23 yards and no touchdowns.
Earlier in the offseason, Sheffield was reportedly charged with battery on a public safety official, according to The Journal & Courier.

Sheffield will look to help Purdue start out 2-0 this season and potentially have the best game of his collegiate career as well, especially since he’s starting.
Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. ET and it’ll be televised by CBS Sports Network.
