Purdue WR named Rose Bowl Player of the Week
The awards continue to pour in for Rondale Moore.
Tuesday, the Rose Bowl announced that Moore, a freshman wide receiver at Purdue, has earned Player o the Week honors after amassing 313 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns in the Boilermakers’ season opener against Northwestern on Thursday.
Moore’s all-purpose yardage total set a Purdue record.

Unfortunately for Purdue, Moore’s effort wasn’t enough to get a win for the Boilermakers, as Northwestern held on for a 31-27 win in West Lafayette.
The other recipient of the Rose Bowl Player o the Week Award was Stanford receiver JJ Arcega-Whiteside, who totaled 226 yards and three touchdowns on six receptions.

In addition to Rose Bowl Player of the Week honors, Moore was also named co-Freshman of the Week by the B1G, sharing the honor with Jeshaun Jones.
He was also named the Paul Hornung Player of the Week.
