For the second-straight week, Purdue’s cornerback group is going to be stretched thin.

Gold and Black Illustrated reported that junior Da’Wan Hunte was in street clothes during pregame warm-ups and will miss today’s contest against Cincinnati. Hunte missed last weekend’s season-opening contest against Eastern Kentucky with an ankle injury.

Hunte was an Academic All-B1G selection last season who appeared in all 12 games and made one start. He totaled 18 tackles and two sacks in his sophomore season.

Purdue is 1-1 all-time against Cincinnati. The Boilermakers last played the Bearcats in the first game of the 2013 season, Darrell Hazell’s first game as head coach of the program. Cincinnati won the game 42-7.
