Purdue is coming off their first loss of the season at the hands of in-state rival  No.12 Notre Dame. dropping the game 27-13 in South Bend on Saturday.

In the fourth quarter head coach Jeff Brohm decided that he was going to switch QBs from Jack Plummer to Aidan O’Connell. Plummer had played well to that point, but Brohm opted for a switch anyway.

“We feel like we got two guys and multiple guys that can play for us, said Brohm, according to Tom Dienhart of GoldandBlack.com  “So, at any point in time, we’ll play multiple guys. Jack had been hit a lot, under duress. Aidan came in and distributed the ball pretty good.”

Brohm said the Plummer is still the starter but multiple guys will play if need be.

Plummer on the day was 25-36 for a 69% completion rate, throwing for 187 yards and a touchdown. O’Connell on the day was 11-18 for a 61% completion rate, throwing for 104 yards, 0 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.
